Electric, Quick Disconnect, Lights

Proven Tension Control incorporates extension springs along with bevelled pulleys on both ends of the roll tube that apply constant and uniform pressure.

A swivel crank allows for easy rolling of the tarp fabric. This swivel crank incorporates snap in style crank handle holders that are used to lock the crank in the open and closed positions.

A centre rod sewn into the tarp fabric is accompanied by a strap on either side to keep the fabric supported at all times.

Increased Capacity with the use of rounded hoods/ end-caps

Hoods/ end-caps are available in Aluminum only.

Trussed hoops/ cross-members for added strength on 13′ or wider carts

Bolt on style tarp stops (right) are standard with all grain cart systems. Optional Flip Release tarp stops with a 3″ or 6″ offset are available.

Optional “Flip Release” tarp stops are offered for all side-rolling tarp systems. These “Flip Release” tarp stops are available with a 3″ or 6″ offset which allows clearance of the box or trailer.

Electric Units

Electric Units are available for both the Select and Maximize tarp systems. These electric units consist of a sealed 12V electric motor with a cover to prevent exposure to harmful elements. This motor is attached to an aluminum pivot arm that is mounted on the front of your truck box. This pivot arm holds the motor stationary so that just the motor shaft turns the roll tube to open and close your tarp system. This electric unit can be operated by using a rocker switch, mounted inside your cab or with an optional 200 Series Integrated Wireless Remote which will operate all Michel’s 200 Series Chute Openers, Convey Hawk, Convey Hawk II, Hopper Augers and Side Roll tarp systems as well as Lights and Swing Augers.

Rear Mounted Electrically Operated System

This rear mounted system can be used if there is not enough space between the cab and the box. For the front mount system 3″ is required for the pivot arm and 8″ for the motor if box walls are not high enough. The rear mount arm folds out of the way when in either the open position or the closed position. This allows for full operation of the end-gate.

Optional Quick Disconnect for Electric Units on semi trailers

Easily convert from electric to manual operation. Remove quick pin, disengage hex and re-insert quick pin. Manual crank can then be installed on the spline using the supplied quick pin.
